ARRIVED! (written earlier today)
Right now I’m at the International Welcome Center on the Kingston Campus. A man came to the airport to pick up everyone from Kingston. There were 5 of us, all girls. We couldn’t all fit in one lift and he goes, “I can’t believe how much you all packed!” The poor man. It barely fit into the van.
I saw a tiny bit of London (just what is around Heathrow) and the drive was nice from London to Kingston. It was about 35 minutes, I think. Our flight was early and no one stopped us in customs, so I was here pretty early.
Kingston is a really cute area. It’s more city-like than I expected. I’m somewhat delirious at this point and don’t think it’d be the best time to go exploring. The campus is nothing too interesting, but the town itself seems to be.
Everyone so far has seemed really friendly and helpful, from the airport personelle to the drivers to the people who work here. I’m excited to really look around!
